PAIGE GEHMPaige is proud to be a Boise State alumni, graduating with a Nursing Degree. While in Austria, she met her husband Billy. They have helped with various ministries in Idaho, Texas, and Mexico. Paige is an adventurer at heart and enjoys time with her husbands and kids. In her off time you can find her writing music, floating a river or hanging out at one of Bend's amazing coffee houses.

KARI DERIENZOKari DeRienzo is a registered nurse and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA. She is a Bend, Oregon native & lives nestled between Bend & Sisters with her husband, Steve, and bunny, Toothless. She was introduced to InterVarsity in 2022 & is excited to build relationships with students at local colleges. Kari loves baking bread, singing worship with her husband and spontaneously adventuring around Central Oregon.

JAN WELSHJan Welsh is a retired attorney who volunteers with InterVarsity in Bend. She graduated from San Diego State University and the University of Idaho College of Law. Jan and her husband live in Bend near her two grown daughters and four grandsons. Jan first found out about InterVarsity when her two daughters were in college, and has served on Advocacy Councils for InterVarsity since then. She loves the focus of in depth Bible study that InterVarsity provides to college students so that they can grow and mature in Jesus.

CASEY BERGCasey has degrees in civil engineering from Oregon State University and University of Wisconsin-Madison. He and his wife, Kristin, are raising three kids and have lived in Bend since 2008. A campus ministry leader invested in him as a graduate student and it had a huge impact on his life and understanding of the Gospel. He wants to invest in the next generation of students as he is grateful for the investment others made in him as a student.

JOEL MARTINJoel’s life was forever transformed through being part of an InterVarsity small group at Oregon State University. His favorite thing as an InterVarsity staff is to encourage and empower students and faculty to gather others into transformative communities where they can experience God’s love and power together. He loves coffee, running too far, starting projects that he never finishes, and spending time with his family.
